| The Fargo DTC550 is a card production workhorse that prints high volume cards in a short time. The Dual Output Card Hopper gives you the flexibility to print high volume cards. The DTC550 supports diverse applications as you can print different types of cards. Printing is protected by user password, only the users you assign will be able to print. This protects your investment from threats, and makes your organization more secure. |

1 - Protecting against counterfeiters and physical damage. Protect your ID badges from alteration, counterfeiting and everyday wear with High Security Lamination. The Lamination Option adds durability, and gives your cards a higher level of security protection. The Visual Security Elements such as holograms and micro text, and the Overlaminate provide durability against swipe abrasion, prevent dye-migration, and shield against image fading UV light.
2 - The Reject Card Hopper saves you time and takes care of your materials. If the printer notices any improperly encoded cards, it automatically routes them to the Reject Card Hopper. This process is just before the card is sent to be printed. Otherwise the card would have continued on to the printing process after which it would have been placed in the finished output hopper, and you would have ultimately rejected it later on.
3 - Keep a status check on your print job. The SmartScreen LCD Control Panel displays print status from the moment the print command was send from the computer to the final output. If there are any errors that might have occurred, they will be displayed. This will reduce delay time as you prompted by a message right away.
4 - The Dual Card Hopper allows printing on two different card stocks simultaneously. You can design two different id card designs, and send them to the printer. The printer selects one hopper for one batch, and the other for the other batch. This not only increases production, but maintains a balance as you can send high volume batch to one hopper and the low volume batch to another.
5 - Flexible card printing and encoding technology. The Fargo DTC550 offers single-sided or dual-sided printing with a variety of encoding and lamination options. Card printing and encoding is streamlined with intuitive controls and simple materials loading. It can encode the cards for 3 different technologies – contactless smart card, contact smart card, and proximity card reader. This encoding and the addition of magnetic stripe or lamination is done in one pass.
6 - The Fargo DTC550 is everywhere you need it. It is ideal for issuing cards at multiple locations. The Ethernet port and the internal print server allows you to install it anywhere on a LAN; giving you freedom when you're planning widespread or high-volume card issuance. Its print driver provides bi-directional status information, so you can monitor and manage the DTC550 just as you would any other networked printer.
With a variety of encoding, lamination and connectivity options, the DTC550 fits a wide range of applications, from a single ID badging station to a networked service bureau. Even the basic features of the DTC550 are impressive, with full-color Direct-to-Card printing technology, single- and dual-sided printing, intuitive SmartScreen™ control panel, Dual Card Hopper and more.
